Sericin

Sericin (carbon 46.50% Hydrogen 6.04% Nitrogen 16.50% Oxygen 30.96%)

  • Natural protein.
  • Natural biopolymer with excellent affinity with the proteins that make up the body and the layers of the skin, epidermis and hair.
  • It maintains the skin's hydration level constant, creating a film that reduces the dehydration effect.
  • It stabilizes collagen production and promotes its synthesis in the superficial layers of the epidermis.
  • It promotes cell growth and extends their residual life.
  • Replenishes amino acids lost on the surface.
  • Anti-aging with antioxidant effect .
  • Antibacterial action that counteracts possible allergies.

What do silk fibers contain?

Silk fibres contain, in different percentages, a series of natural elementary substances (Amino acids) which are the elements with which silk interacts with the outside:

  • with the human body, with its physiology and metabolism (care and health)
  • with the environment during its life, the maintenance and washing that a product may undergo
  • with the environment at the end of the product's life once it has been sent to landfill, or left in the environment

The characteristics of each of these amino acids highlight a real contribution to the needs and requirements of the human body and its metabolism:

  • GLYCINE (Fibroin 42.9% - Sericin 13.5%) – Promotes the release of oxygen for the cell replacement process – Fundamental in the immune system for the production of hormones.
  • ALANINE (Fibroin 30.0% - Sericin 6.0%) – Essential for energy management in muscle tissue, the brain and the central nervous system – Promotes the production of antibodies for the immune system – Assists the metabolism of sugars and organic acids.
  • SERINE (Fibroin 12.2% - Sericin 33.4%) – Important source of glucose storage for the muscular system and liver – Provides antibodies for the immune system – Promotes the synthesis of the fatty acid sheath that covers the fibres of the nervous system.
  • ASPARTIC ACID (Fibroin 1.9% - Sericin 16.74%) – Promotes the extraction and expulsion from the body of harmful substances such as ammonia which, once they have penetrated the circulatory system, become very toxic for the central and peripheral nervous system – Increases the body's resistance to fatigue and physical effort.
  • GLUTAMIC ACID (Fibroin 1.4% - Sericin 4.4%) – It is defined as
"food for thought" as it increases mental capacity – controls metabolic demands for sugar – allows the control of schizophrenia and is an inhibitor of alcohol intake – promotes the healing of ulcers.
  • VALINE (Fibroin 2.5% - Sericin 2.8%) – Stimulates the mind and its vigor – Promotes an increase in muscular coordination and relaxation.
  • PROLINE (Fibroin 0.45% - Sericin 0.68%) – Essential for the mobility and functioning of tendons, cartilage and joints – Strengthens the muscular system and protects the heart.
  • THREONINE (Fibroin 0.9% - Sericin 0.53%) - Fundamental element of collagen, elastin and enamel protein - controls the presence of fat in the liver, preventing its accumulation; acts on the intestine, making it more capable of optimizing metabolism and assimilation.
  • LYSINE (Fibroin 0.38% - Sericin 3.3%) - Manages calcium assimilation - controls collagen formation ensuring the functionality of bones and connective tissues - allows the production of antibodies, helps the immune system and regulates the production of hormones and enzymes - Shows effectiveness in fighting herpes thanks to the ability to balance nutrients that can reduce the growth of the virus. Its deficiency can lead to tiredness, lack of concentration, mood swings, delayed growth, hair loss, lack of iron in the blood and deficiency of the reproductive system.
  • ARGININE (Fibroin 0.51% - Sericin 3.1%) - Increases the immune system's ability to respond to bacteria and viruses - fights tumor cells - decreases wound healing times and liver regeneration - is essential in muscle growth and tissue repair by promoting the construction of growth hormones.
  • TYROSINE (Fibroin 4.8% - Sericin 2.6%) - Promotes the transmission of nerve impulses to the brain - increases memory and mental alertness, fights depressive phenomena - Has a positive impact on the functioning of the thyroid, adrenal glands and pituitary gland.
  • PHENYLALALINE (Fibroin 0.67% - Sericin 0.53%) - Allows the synthesis of noradrenaline within the brain, a chemical substance that transmits signals from nerve cells to the brain - Increases the level of alertness, keeping you more awake and improving your memory level - decreases feelings of hunger and works as an antidepressant.
  • LEUCINE (Fibroin 0.55% - Sericin 1.1%) and ISOLEUCINE (Fibroin 0.64% - Sericin 0.72%) - Allow the creation of a series of biochemical elements used in energy production to stimulate the brain ensuring higher levels of attention.
  • METHIONINE (Fibroin 0.1% - Sericin 0.04%) - Element that allows the supply of sulfur to the body with numerous positive effects: strengthens hair follicles, increases hair, skin and nail growth, increases the production of Lecithin in the liver to control low cholesterol levels, reduces the % of fat in the liver and stimulates the renal glands - is a natural chelating agent for the control of heavy metals - controls the formation of ammonia by controlling its presence in urine reducing possible irritation of the bladder.
  • CYSTINE (Fibroin 0.03%) - Powerful antioxidant, great help for the body for protection from rays, radiation and pollution - Fundamental in the creation of the superficial layers of the skin, eliminates free radicals, promotes protein synthesis free from toxins, increasing cell regeneration and their replacement - represents almost 15% in hair and epidermis - Guarantees shorter recovery times from burns and wounds.
  • TRYPTOPHAN (Fibroin 0.05% - Sericin 0.05%) - A natural relaxant – promotes sleep and reduces insomnia – stimulates mood by fighting anxiety and depression – used in migraine treatments – supports the immune system – reduces risk factors on the circulatory system especially on the arteries and heart by controlling cholesterol levels with LYSINE.
  • TAURINE (Fibroin 0.05% - Sericin 0.05%) - Controls the effects of epileptic seizures by stabilizing the levels of membrane excitability - In combination with SULFUR, they control the biochemical processes of cell aging and help eliminate toxins and free radicals.
  • HISTIDINE (Fibroin 0.19% - Sericin 1.3%) - Present in abundance in hemoglobin – controls rheumatoid arthritis, allergic diseases, ulcers and anemia and hearing problems.
